TVotR at their most Prince-esque, with a soulful falsetto vocal throughout the chorus. “No more” is pronounced “no mwor” at all times of course and Kyp Malone is firmly in ballad mode for this one, singing about “cr-hi-hi-hi-ying” over a laid back groove that builds and smoulders slowly; funky guitars, lashings of brass. Basically unmissable stuff; but you’ve got the album, right? Roll on the next one! - Isaac Howlett

Acoustic guitars meet glitchy beats for another slice of ‘English Folktronica’ on the disarmingly polite London musician James Yuill’s latest idyllic offering from Turning Down Water For Air. Not as immediately memorable and lyrically clever as ‘The Ghost’ or ‘No Surprise’ but still strong enough to showcase the wealth of great song writing on the album. Be sure to check out the interestingly naive electro take on the track by Lisa Milberg. - Isaac Howlett
