Blow smoke in the face of ‘same old same old’ firework displays and open your eyes to its next natural step: ‘pyrotextnics’. Ok, we made that up, but this project by Minimaforms interestingly combines a 5,000 year old practise with modern communication, turning your text messages into smoke signals an all-night display at Trafalgar Sq. Just rock up and text your message to the artists, who in turn will translate your verbs into light and smoke. It’ll look fantastishe, make you smile in wonder at your textual puffs and definitely while away the evening hours, so we guess this is more about entertainment over art.

Verdict: Bang.
