Matthew isn't allowed to come along

So Sharin, let’s pretend that if you had a whole day to yourself, just only you, and you were back in Los Angeles, and you woke up feeling fresh like 9am and you just had one day and you were going to be busy for a year touring and traveling. How would you spend that day?

To myself?

Only you, you’re the only one there, the family’s on vacation.

I’ll start the day by going to a Korean spa in Korean Town. It’s so nice, it’s like a bath and everybody naked, it’s only women, of course.

Completely naked?!

Completely naked. There’s 3 different pools like a cold water pool, an herbal pool and a really warm pool and there’s the steam room, the sauna, you can get all kinds of treatments: massages, facial. I guess it’s like a very integrated part of their everyday life, it’s just something that they do, it’s not a spa experience with relaxing music, It’s more like matter-of-fact that serves the purpose that’s very great. I’ve only done it once, I’ve always wanted to do it again but I never have time. I’d start my day there and I would probably go and get some really nice sushi on Sunset for lunch.

I mean you can meet friends, you can call friends.

Oh, I don’t have to be completely alone.

It’s just that you have no obligations to your family or anything.

Oh gosh, there’s so many I could do like go to a gallery, it would be nice to the Getty Museum just hang out and drink wine, maybe meet some friends.

And then we enter dinner time.

Have to go Mozza Osteria which is an Italian restaurant, start with a nice white wine. What was that white wine that we had at Mozza?

I don’t know what it was but it was so good…

Some grilled sardines and then it’s been so long since I’ve been out and it would be nice to go some place like Chateau Marmont or something, have a drink in the little garden there and even go out to Silverlake or Echo Park, it’s pretty…

So you definitely drink, a lot, I can hear! At the Getty Museum, and then at the restaurant and then at the Chateau and then now out in Silverlake!

I have to say there’s so much fun stuff to do even to drive around, have a great drive around in the canyons and the hills. Go out to El Matador Beach, it’s so beautiful and watch sunset. I’d like to go see a movie, I haven’t seen a movie in a long time, we could go the Arclight and watch a midnight movie.
