Places to go to in New York

Unfortunately, these men in uniforms won't be waiting for you

Go to Lupa’s and have a good pasta, it’s nice to even go when there’s no one else around 4-5.

Oh yeah, right after lunch, they’re open all day. And then go to Pearl Oyster Bar over Cornelia street, go to Balthazar on Crosby.

There’s that Japenese place that’s so good, the one on 11th Street.

Hell, yeah! Kanoyama on 2nd and 11th. There’s 3 tapas restaurants within one city block all owned by the same owners: Tia Pol is one of them.* There’s a new amazing pizza place, believe it or not which is not New York pizza, I don’t really like New York pizza, and it’s called Company and it’s also right there on 24th street and 9th Av. It’s a very very popular place so expect lines but their pizza is really Italian great pizza… I could go on all night because that’s what I do when I talk about food.

But I write songs too and I work and I do a lot of emailing and shit like that and sometimes I walk around and I take my camera and I walk around the city and shoot pictures and now they have this new thing called the High Line which is like the old railway track that used to come down to the Meatpacking District. They turn it into a park and it’s overlooking the city a little bit and it’s a nice park that’s just open.

Wouldn’t it be dangerous?

No, not really because it’s like rails and you can’t really walk out there because of vegetation, they planted bushes and plants and all kinds of stuff so it’s great to go for a walk. The entrance right now I believe is on 20th street between 10th/11th Avenue and then you walk all the way down to where they build the new Standard Hotel and it’s a nice walk, it’s nice to walk up there.

* Also check out El Quinto Pino.
